Do I qualify to make a no cost personal injury claim?
You can make a personal injury claim if you have suffered an accident that was little, or no fault of your own, within 3 years of the date you became aware of your accident or injury. If you were a under 18 at the time the accident occurred you have 3 years from the date of your 18th birthday to make a claim.
Do I have to visit my appointed solicitor?
It is not necessary for you to visit your appointed solicitor as claiming is a straightforward process that can be dealt with quickly and efficiently by telephone and post. Your appointed solicitor is always on hand to advise you every step of the way. Should you require a face to face visit, we can arrange this for you.
How much compensation can I expect?
The amount of compensation you receive will depend on many factors, i.e. the severity of your injury, the length of time you take to recover from your accident and how much time you may have lost from work etc. Once we have your accident details your appointed solicitor will be able to give you an accurate figure of the amount of compensation you can expect.
How are you able to offer this service free of charge?
Our appointed panel of solicitors will be able to offer "No Cost To You" funding arrangements. You will not be required to take out any loans or sign any consumer credit agreements. Once your claim has succeeded, all costs will be recovered from the party responsible, usually via an insurance company. In the rare event a claim fails your solicitor will protect you from any costs.
How soon can I expect my accident compensation payout?
Most minor accident claimants will be paid out in a matter of months, however, severe injuries will take longer as the amount of special damages applicable will be much greater and the healing process much longer.
Is the paperwork involved very complicated?
Your appointed solicitor will assist you in completing your paperwork. They will simply highlight the areas where you need to sign and you return the document direct to your solicitor by post. Your solicitor will be on hand to help answer anything you are unsure of.
What will you expect of me?
Your appointed solicitor will require you to co-operate with his requests and reply or return paperwork in a timely fashion and they will be there to guide you as your claim progresses.
